The BookWorks Co-op, started in 2009, is a project based initiative for artists, designers and writers having experience in at least one area of book arts (printmaking, papermaking, letterpress, bookbinding), who are interested in creative independent work as well as collaborating with other artists, designers and writers. The Co-op is a community of artists, designers and writers working in the book form and print from Western NC and beyond.

Benefits:

• Membership in a community of artists, designers and writers working in print and the book form in our immediate region and beyond.
• Members make proposals for projects throughout the year including; portfolio exchanges, exhibitions, events, fund-raisers, workshops, any number of creative things of interest to co-op members and neighboring communities.
• Members receive a discount on BookWorks studio rental and a one time 10% discount on any class of your choice through the year.
• Members are invited to join a closed Yahoo group to receive communications, updates, calendars, archived and compiled information from Co-op meetings, proposals, and more.

The Co-op is currently accepting new members. Members, both near and far, are invited to participate in Co-op projects like book and print exchanges, exhibitions, events and regularly held Co-op meetings.

To join, purchase an annual membership anytime for $45.00 Regular Membership or $100 Supporting Membership. Each year a specially printed gift will be created for all Supporting Members.
