Mike Davis
Mike Davis has had the pleasure of teaching students how to develop their ideas and to show them how those concepts could come to life on the printed page in the areas of offset printing, screen printing and flexography. This Appalachian State graduate began his teaching career in 1969 and retired from the Asheville City Schools in 2009 after teaching Graphic Communications at Asheville High School for thirty years. In addition to teaching art, photography and graphics he owned and operated Michael’s Photography Studio for ten years. In 1989 he opened a screen printing business called Graphic Imprints, Inc. which has changed today to include the making of artists books and journals. It reflects his semi retired lifestyle which provides him opportunities to explore new challenges.
