Participants will learn all the points of maintenance, cleaning and lubrication so as to be prepared for potential problems and make or direct repairs. We will discuss all models of interest and other brands as warranted. BookWorks has an array of presses including a 4T, a #20, a 15-20 adjustable bed, a Challenge and a Canuck. Whether you own a press, are thinking of buying one, or rent press time in a community print shop like BookWorks, this workshop will provide excellent direction for your future presswork. Bring your questions, photos and/or broken parts. Paul will also share examples from his collection of Vandercook literature. Paul is also available to make service calls to repair your Vandercook Press while he’s here in WNC. To arrange a service call, contact him through his website vandercookpress.info/.

Paul is teaching this class prior to the Ladies of Letterpress Conference being held at Asheville BookWorks August 5, 6 and 7! This class is open to conference goers and all others at large! Beginners welcome and encouraged to take this relevant class.
