Learn the centuries old Japanese method of woodblock carving and printing using non-toxic water-based pigments and rice paste also called Moku Hanga.  Students will learn traditional methods and tips for carving woodcuts as well as the kento registration technique for printing multiple color blocks.

Students will also learn the fundamentals of printing relief prints using water based pigments including mixing pigments, paper dampening and care of tools.  An exciting, non-toxic, and surprisingly accessible medium.
