Artist Journals and Sketchbooks exhibit opens Friday, January 14, 2011 at BookWorks Gallery with a reception from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Often hidden away on a shelf in an artist’s studio, or tucked into a bag on a trip, creative journals and sketchbooks offer a rare glimpse into the artistic process. These are the books that have been put to use, either as a written text or as a sketchbook, and frequently a combination of both. Equally inspiring to the artist who made them as to the viewer seeing them for the first time, come take a peek into creative minds working on a different level than finished artwork.

It’s been fun, but all good things must come to an end. Now that Print Gocco is no more, join us for a final fling through the world of Print Gocco. Bring your Gocco units, masters, bulbs and ink and we’ll make multiples and more multiples. Bring any small carbon‐based copies, either words or images and make dozens of cards and prints. Then, after a ritual Gocco burial, let’s take a look at what other simple screenprinting methods are available for the abandoned Gocco-ist. Great fun and experimentation await.
