Drawing for Journal Keeping

$202 + materials fee $15 – 20.00 for drawing paper, book covers, viewfinders, painters tape, bulldog clips, linen thread, miscellaneous book making supplies.

This class is for creative people who have always wanted to render what they see in the world around them in their journals and/or to be able to express ideas on paper. This class will give you the basic drawing skills and confidence to develop your drawing skills. We will explore line, shape, perspective, and page composition. Over the course of 6 evening sessions we will explore drawing media, the different purposes they serve, as well as various approaches to using them. We will draw on loose paper that will be bound into a book at the conclusion of the class.
Please Bring:
- H pencil, 2B pencil (regular yellow pencil) and 4B and white eraser.
- favorite black pen for writing and sketching.
- a clipboard or other small hard surface to use as a mini drawing board and a bulldog or other type of clip if you have them.
- what ever pens, pencils, etc. you use for journaling.
